Do clothes dry faster on a windy day or on a sunny day?

Wet clothes dry faster on a windy day. Unless the atmosphere is saturated with water, in which case a sunny day works better. But it doesn’t to be a warm day in either case.

Wind is better because the air is circulating through the moist clothes, picking up moisture and getting rid of it in your clothes. Making space for more air, which picks up more moist.

On a still day, the air next to the clothes may pick up moisture and just sit there. As full of moisture it can hold without moving any additional moisture from the wet clothes.

Moving air or circulating air will make clothes dry faster in almost every situation. Unless it is actually raining or you are in a very foggy area.

The evaporation rate is increased due to the air moving across the clothes, which quickly removes moistened air that was in contact with the clothes and replaces it with drier air.

Clothes dry faster on a sunny day when it is really warm. Because the heat of the sun will make the water or moist evaporate. But if you are in a place or country that is not warm, it is better to hang your wet clothes indoors. And maintaining the flow and circulation of air by using an electric fan.
