The washing machine is a powerful tool. It made many people opened up their time to do more activity.
It was highlighted in one of the TED talks performed by Professor Hans Rosling.
For those who don’t know, a TED talk is a video created from a presentation at the main TED conference or one of its many satellite events around the world.
TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design and their slogan is “Ideas Worth Spreading”. As of today, they have discussed so many topics already.
The presenters are authors, teachers, inventors, businessmen, etc. who are experts on their chosen topics.
Educational video presentation
Do you need some research? Do you hate reading Wikipedia? Or very long articles about a certain topic? Then this one might suit your taste. Try to visit their website or you can search through YouTube.
Their talks usually last for only 10 to 15 minutes.
You won’t get bored. This is because their presentations are made educational and entertaining at the same time. One thing I like about the talks performed were the use of visual, graphs, statistics and examples.
There are also presentations that are show casing their actual inventions. By doing this is making the presentation very easy to understand and relate with.
Thank you washing machine
In line with our business, I would like to share to you the following video from one of the many TED talks.
Topic: The washing machine. Enjoy watching!
Hans Rosling is a Swedish medical doctor, academic, statistician, and public speaker. He is a Professor of International Health at Karolinska Institute (from Wikipedia).
In his talk, he discussed his experience with the washing machine. He also discussed the energy consumption of people around the globe.
He also talked about how technology and industrialization helped him grow.
Be thankful on the development of washing machine and other appliances. Because it gave us more free time to be productive and more time to spend with our love ones.
We can use this free time for more important things that will help us to improve our lives. Way better than spending hours hand washing our clothes.
Physical strength and energy is saved. So, thank you washing machine!
I hope you learned something.
